Asian art

Since 2011, Pablo Droguett has worked alongside Bernard Gomez, an expert in Asian art. He is used to tracking down Asian objects in South America and bringing them to Paris, where their buyers are.

What we appraise

  • Chinese and Japanese porcelain and ceramics
  • Bronzes, cloisonné and metalwork
  • Jades, hardstones, antique ivories (subject to regulations)
  • Lacquerware, furniture and screens
  • Paintings, calligraphy and prints
  • Textiles and scholar's objects

Objects from far away

Trade and migration brought many Asian objects to South America, often kept within families for generations. Their exact origin and date are not always known: establishing them is precisely what expert appraisal is for.

Why Paris?

Paris is one of the leading markets for Asian art, with an international clientele of collectors and dealers. A well-identified, well-presented piece will find its buyers there.
